Jimmy Kimmel is making sure his show stays spicy and relevant while he takes a summer break, as he couldn’t resist making a dig at President Donald Trump when announcing his upcoming guest-host lineup.
The late-night host and network ABC have shared the star-studded lineup of hosts set to takeover the ABC show beginning the week of July 6, including Tiffany Haddish, Colman Domingo, Jelly Roll, Ike Barinholtz, and Anthony Anderson.
He also included Rosie O’Donnell among the list of guest hosts.
“And as a special treat for our commander in chief, I asked one of his all-time favorites, Rosie O’Donnell, to be here to keep the hits coming,” Kimmel said (via NBC News). “You’re welcome, and all I ask in return, Mr. President, is that you don’t do anything stupid while I’m gone.”
Rosie‘s decades-long feud with Trump has made her one of his most famous celebrity critics. They’ve traded barbs for years, dating back to her time on The View. Their feud followed into politics, with Trump bringing her up often during interviews and in social media posts.
In case you missed it, Rosie actually talked about The View recently and whether or not she would ever consider returning.
Kimmel also made a surprising confession about Trump earlier this month.
