Taylor Swift is finally revealing what all those Toy Story clues were leading to: a new single!
“I Knew It, I Knew You” will be released in collaboration with the movie.
The song is already available to order as a Collector’s Edition CD single on her website with double-sided cover, as well as an acoustic version and a piano version with different covers.
“It’s a *Toy* Story You knew it! My new original song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ for Disney and @pixar’s @toystory 5 will be yours on June 5th. I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie. I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right? You can pre-order now exclusively on my site and catch Toy Story 5 in theaters June 19th.” – @taylorswift
The speculation began at the end of April when Taylor launched a countdown on her website, which led to…nothing. Still, fans were quick to notice the background of the video looked very similar to the iconic cloud wallpaper that’s in Andy’s bedroom from the Toy Story movies. The font was also similar to the Toy Story logo, which has a blue border with yellow coloring.
Then on May 29, billboards started popping up in many cities featuring the letters “TS” in the Toy Story font with 13 clouds surrounding it.
“She’s making those moves up as she goes!” Pixar wrote along with the billboards, quoting the lyrics from Taylor‘s hit song “Shake It Off.”
On Sunday (May 31), Pixar continued tweeting out billboards around the world featuring 13 clouds.
Toy Story clouds now appear when you search Taylor Swift on TikTok, while Spotify added the cloud to their Taylor Swift collection.
The letters T and S are also now capitalized on all of Taylor‘s Track 5s across every album on Apple Music, and her “Essentials” playlist on Apple Music now only contains those songs. 1989 (Taylor’s Version) also has clouds instead of seagulls in the background.
A new countdown clock appeared on her official website on Monday (June 5), teasing an announcement coming at 2 p.m. ET.
The film is set to hit theaters in just under three weeks.
