Travis Kelce is reacting to Meryl Streep!
The 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end spoke out when asked by brother Jason Kelce about apparent “beef” with the 76-year-old The Devil Wears Prada icon during the latest episode of their New Heights podcast.
“Is there Meryl Streep beef? I hope she doesn’t have beef with me. That’s a powerful woman right there. I’m a fan of Meryl Streep. I don’t have any beef with her,” he said when asked about an alleged feud.
Jason shared that Meryl called out Travis “for some reason” during one video on the Devil Wears Prada 2 promo trail, during which she spoke about walking down the Milan streets in stilettos.
“I’d like to see Travis Kelce do that,” she amusingly remarked, unexpectedly tossing a challenge Travis‘ way.
Travis seemed shocked, before hilariously replying: “Oh, Meryl, you have no idea how good I am at walking in heels, okay?”
Jason then challenged Travis to prove it to Meryl.
“We’re gonna have to find some size 14 heels first,” Travis said.
“Okay, well, we can have those custom made,” Jason offered.
Ultimately, Travis backed down when he considered the challenge further: “I’ll give credit where credit’s due. I don’t think I can do it, Meryl…I’ll let you have it.”
“What are you, a quitter? You’re a quitter? You’re just gonna give up to Meryl Streep? You’re a world-class athlete, Travis!” Jason teased.
“No, I just don’t think I’m gonna make it to Italy and walk in stilettos!” Travis reacted.
“I’ll tell you what, Meryl, if I ever find myself in Italy on that cobblestone, I’ll try and find a size 14, and we’ll put it to the test,” he later said, suggesting perhaps he will take on Meryl‘s challenge one day. Watch the siblings amusingly discuss the “beef” above.
