Tragic details about the death of Martin Short‘s daughter Katherine have been made public in her autopsy report.
If you don’t know, the 42-year-old passed away at her home in Los Angeles on Monday (February 23), and it was ruled a suicide.
In new documents obtained by Us Weekly, more details have come to light.
Martin Short requested the welfare check on his daughter
Apparently, Martin called one of Katherine‘s friends and asked them to “check on her welfare” after he was unable to reach her for “over 24 hours.”
The autopsy report, which is from the Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner, said that “multiple notes were located at the scene” and were “posted on the door.” The unidentified friend called 911 after discovering the notes.
It was noted that she “had a history of depression and other mental health illnesses” and had benzodiazepines in her system.
Earlier this month, Martin broke his silence on his daughter’s death.
We are sending our deepest condolences to Martin Short‘s family, as well as all of Katherine‘s loved ones, during this time. RIP.
