Taylor Swift‘s countdown has ended, but nothing has been announced.
If you didn’t see, the 36-year-old “Look What You Made Me Do” singer debuted a 48-hour countdown on her website on Thursday (April 30). Many believed that Taylor was going to be announcing a new song that will be featured in the upcoming Toy Story 5 movie since the background of the countdown video appeared to be very similar to the cloud wallpaper that’s in Andy’s bedroom in the Disney-Pixar movies.
The countdown was set to end at 2pm ET on Saturday, May 2, but as fans patiently waited for the time to come around, the countdown (which was previously deleted) ended and Taylor has remained silent.
Since the countdown ended, Swifties have taken to X to share their theories about why the Grammy winner didn’t announce anything.
“The end of the countdown (meanwhile deleted) would be now! It must have been started earlier than it was supposed to!” one fan wrote while others joked about the situation.
One fan tweeted, “Taylor Swift forgot that she has a countdown up on her website” while another joked, “Right so who’s getting fired on the Taylor Swift team.”
For now, we’re just going to have to wait and see if Taylor announces anything new.
