People reports that the 36-year-old “The Fate of Ophelia” singer will be skipping the annual awards show, which will take place on Monday (May 25) live from Las Vegas.
Taylor has the most nominations this year, leading the pack with eight nods for her album The Life of a Showgirl.

Taylor currently holds the record for the most AMAs wins of all time with 40 awards. In second place is Michael Jackson with 26. No one will be beating her record for a long time!
