Taylor Frankie Paul is confirming that she went to rehab.
If you don’t know, reports indicated that she entered a facility recently amid lots of troubles and headlines regarding her personal life.
The 32-year-old former Bachelorette star said in a video on TikTok, “Yes I seeked [sic] help at a facility. I owe this to nobody but I like to share my life from my mouth.”
She shared that it was a voluntary placement, and it was to “reset.”
“I knew that I was in a spot to take a step back and be like, ‘Okay, we need to reset.’ But facilities are not for just substance. … There are a list of reasons why people go into that. Number one priority was just a reset for my mental health, and to get away, decompress, whether it’s one day, whether it’s seven, whether it’s 30. I willingly did that,” she shared.
Taylor said, “It kind of bums me out that [it was] kind of weaponized against me, actually doing the right thing of noticing I needed extra help, and whatever that may be. I ended up finding a really good antidepressant that has been working for me. I will share the meds eventually, however, I like to trial and error before I talk about them because it takes a while to set in, and I would hate to be recommending something that I don’t even like myself.”
“[This was the] one thing I wanted to keep private, which I feel like I was entitled to, though I was willing to be open with those that needed to know, for the safety of my children, for myself, and those around me. However, that wasn’t enough. Mental health in private rooms should remain private, and I don’t think everyone should have access to that,” she added.
News of the rehab stay came on the heels of her ex Tate Paul reportedly seeking a restraining order and sole custody of their two children, daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 6. This latest request came two months after Taylor and her other ex, Dakota Mortensen, were ordered by a judge to stay 100 feet away from each other. He also has sole custody of their two-year-old son Ever.
Taylor Frankie Paul‘s season of The Bachelorette was canceled earlier this year, but there’s talk it could be airing soon.
