Samara Weaving is sharing a hilarious story about the time she was mistaken for Margot Robbie and decided to go along with it.
The Ready or Not star recalled the memorable encounter while speaking with People at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie, Carolina Caroline.
“I remember I was in an airport. It must have been like 10 years ago, and someone thought I was Margot,” Samara told the outlet. “I just couldn’t break it to them that I wasn’t, so I posed for a photo with the fan, saying that I was Margot.”
Looking back on the moment, Samara admitted she’s not sure whether the fan ever realized the mistake.
“I don’t know, they might have looked at it later and been like, that’s not— that’s some random lady. So yeah, I might be in someone’s phone thinking that it’s Margot, but other than that, no. I don’t leave the house enough.”
Samara and Margot have long been compared because of their similar features, something both actresses are well aware of.
Over the years, fans have also pointed out resemblances between Samara, Margot, Sex Education star Emma Mackey, and My Name Is Earl actress Jaime Pressly.
The two Australian stars are also friends in real life and have crossed paths professionally. Samara and Margot both appeared in Damien Chazelle‘s Babylon and have supported each other’s projects over the years.
Most recently, Margot showed her support by attending the premiere of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come in March.
