Valentina is heading to Broadway!
The 35-year-old will be the latest RuPaul’s Drag Race alum to make their debut on the Great White Way, when she joins the cast of The Rocky Horror Show at Studio 54 on Tuesday (July 21).
She will take on the role of Columbia in the Broadway musical, taking over the role after Michaela Jae Rodriguez‘s departure last month. Ensemble members Larkin Reilly and Caleb Quezon have been rotating in the role since Michaela Jae‘s exit.
Valentina joins original cast members Rachel Dratch (Narrator), Andrew Durand (Brad), Luke Evans (Frank-N-Furter), Amber Gray (Riff Raff), Harvey Guillen (Eddie/Dr Scott), Stephanie Hsu (Janet), and Josh Andres Rivera (Rocky), as well as Sherie Renee Scott, who recently joined in the role of Magenta following Juliette Lewis‘ departure.
Michaela Jae originated the role of Columbia in this production earlier this year, and performed her last show on June 21st.
If you don’t know, this won’t be the first time Valentina and Michaela Jae have played the same role.
Back in 2019, Valentina played Angel in Fox’s Rent: Live television special, and Michaela Jae played Angel in an Off-Broadway production of the Jonathan Larson musical.
In May, less than two months after its opening, The Rocky Horror Show extended its run through November 29th.
