Jon Lovett is officially a married man!
People has confirmed that the Pod Save America host and Crooked Media co-founder tied the knot with Ari Schwartz over the holiday weekend.
According to the outlet, Jon and Ari were married on Saturday (May 23) in Santa Barbara, Calif. The celebration reportedly included a packed weekend of festivities, featuring “a roast of the couple and a variety show during the rehearsal dinner.”
Videos shared by guests offered a glimpse inside the reception, including one tradition that saw the newlyweds lifted into the air on chairs while friends and family danced around them.
Jon and Ari first made their relationship Instagram official in September 2024. The couple later announced their engagement in March 2025 with a joint post that featured Jon‘s dog, who had also become Ari‘s dog.
“Exciting news: I got a dog. This dog. Because we got engaged,” Jon wrote in the caption.
Jon is best known as a co-founder of Crooked Media, which he launched in 2017 alongside fellow former Obama staffers Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor.
Ari joined the company in 2021 as a programming and production coordinator before being promoted to chief of staff in 2023. Prior to that, Ari also worked on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s congressional campaign.
Following the wedding news, several famous friends shared their congratulations, including Josh Gad, Chris Hayes, Ira Madison, and Monica Lewinsky.
