Mikayla Nogueira is celebrating her divorce from ex Cody Hawken.
The 28-year-old TikTok beauty influencer and POV Beauty founder shared that she is officially divorced as of Tuesday (July 28).
She originally announced the news of her divorce back in February in a viral announcement video, which kicked off with the now widely mocked and frequently memed line: “You’re gonna want to sit down for this…I’m getting a divorce…take a minute, take it in.”
Mikayla, who has since moved on after rekindling a romance with her high school boyfriend Zach, shared the news first by doing a GRWM (Get Ready With Me) video, applying her makeup and selecting her outfit for court.
“Get ready with me for divorce court. I have been waiting for this day for so long. Today is my official divorce trial, and I am terrified. Today could go a multitude of ways. But if I don’t leave that courtroom today divorced, I’m just letting you know I am going to be devastated. It’s about 7:00 am. My trial is in a few hours, so let’s get ready,” she began.
“So grateful to have the support system that I do. Like, my phone is blowing up right now with my friends and family telling me they’re thinking of me. I’m just genuinely so looking forward to putting this entire chapter behind me. I’m so scared. If I’m being so for real, I don’t wanna see Cody. I have not seen that man in so long. I just really don’t know what to expect. Thing I have to remember is that no matter what happens, everything is going to be okay. No matter what, Sydney‘s gonna be coming with me for moral support. And then tonight, I have a dinner with friends and family that’s either gonna be a celebratory dinner or a get drunk and cry devastated kind of dinner. I don’t know.”
“I just know today is going to be an emotional f–king roller coaster. At least the glam is gonna look f–king good. I know people had a lot of opinions about my outfit the last time I did something at court, but, I don’t really know what I’m gonna wear. I know it’ll be something very simple and understated, but I’m not sure. Probably just black or white. I will say, for anyone who’s in that process of divorce right now where it feels like the world is literally ending, you don’t want to get out of bed, you’re crying every day. You will get through that phase. I am here at the f–king finish line. I’m excited and I’m grateful. What I will say is my makeup is f–king eating today, so that is always a sign of good luck for me. I’m just saying,” she continued.
“A good makeup day equals a good day. Also, Zach is, like, really excited for me, but I think, low-key, he’s more excited for himself, you know what I’m saying? That man is ready for this to be over just as much as I am. The sun is literally peeking out, and it was not supposed to do that today, so I’m seeing signs…here’s the question. Would it be bad luck to wear my wedding lipstick today? I’m not sure, but I’m gonna do it. I literally still wear this lipstick all the f–king time because it really was, like, my dream lipstick. So, hey, my makeup looks absolutely f–king gorgeous today, so that, to me, means it’s gonna go my way. I’m just guessing. Okay, let’s go get dressed.”
“Get dressed with me to officially be a divorced woman. I am manifesting that right now. My makeup and hair came out so good. Now I need the outfit to match. I wanna look professional and relatively simple. Keeping it real simple y’all. Black slacks black top, is it giving what it needs to give?” she said in a second video.
“I’m feeling really good and optimistic that I will leave that courtroom today a divorced woman, and thank you so much for your support. You guys have literally been there with me through all of this so let’s go get a divorce.”
In a third video, Mikayla could be seen happily running outside the courtroom in a “Just Divorced” tee, with the caption: “THE TEARS I SHED! Words cannot explain how happy I am,” set to the song “Happy Xmas (War Is Over).”
