Carys Douglas is officially stepping into the spotlight.
The 23-year-old daughter of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones is set to make her professional theater debut in a new production of The Seagull in New York City, according to People.
Described by theater company Solid Flesh as a “multi-space, site-specific theatrical experience,” the production of Anton Chekhov’s classic play will have a limited run from June 20 through June 27 at St. Lydia’s in Brooklyn.
Carys previously opened up about her career ambitions during an interview with People in October 2025, following her graduation from Brown University.
“I grew up doing theater, and I didn’t study acting in school, but that’s why I’m happy to be in such an informative arts space, so hopefully more of that,” she said.
Michael, 81, and Catherine, 56, have been married since 2000 and share two children together: Carys and her older brother, Dylan, 25. Michael is also father to son Cameron, 47, whom he shares with ex-wife Diandra Luker.
The famous family made headlines back in December when Michael and Catherine denied reports that they planned to boycott CNN after Dylan became involved in a heated discussion with conservative commentator Scott Jennings on CNN NewsNight. Find out what happened and how Dylan’s parents responded.
