Mary Beth Barone was spotted with Emily in Paris actor Lucas Bravo back in March 2026 and now she’s jokingly saying that Netflix put them into a “PR relationship.”
The Overcompensating actress just released her Galaxy Brain comedy special on Netflix and she says that the streamer came up with a plan to drum up some publicity.
“Netflix called me. They said, ‘We love the special. We want as many people to see it as possible. Let us know how we can help,’” Mary Beth said while appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers this week.
She continued, “I said, ‘How about a marketing budget?’ They said, “Not that, but we could set you up in a PR relationship. Choose a guy from any of our Netflix properties.’”
Mary Beth was told that the “chef from Emily in Paris is available.”
“They handled everything,” she said. “Our first date was courtside at the Knicks. We went to the Cannes Film Festival, and we had to have sex a few times for legal reasons.”
“We’re not together anymore, though. We just did the three-month contract,” she joked.
Mary Beth and Lucas were photographed at the Knicks game in March and they both attended the Cannes Film Festival in May, where they were spotted walking around the city.
If you aren’t aware, Lucas was last linked to actress Shailene Woodley and a source hinted at why they broke up.
