Netflix is making a live-action movie adaptation of the classic children’s book series Eloise and we have some of the first photos from set!
Newcomer Mae Schenk was spotted getting into character while filming a scene on Tuesday (May 26) in New York City.
Mae was joined on set by her young co-star Isaac Bae.

Netflix’s Eloise is written and directed by Amy Sherman-Palladino
Amy Sherman-Palladino, the beloved creator of TV shows like Gilmore Girls and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, is directing the upcoming movie and she also co-wrote the film.
Ryan Reynolds is on board to play the villain character in the movie and he’s also producing the film.
Other cast members include Sally Hawkins, Victor Garber, David Haig, and Max Casella.
Nothing is known about the plot yet, but Netflix exec Hannah Minghella has released a statement on the project.
“Eloise has been beloved for generations, from when she was first published in the 1950s through to today, when no family trip to New York City is complete without a stop at The Plaza. It’s an honor to reintroduce this cherished character to the world with two people who share her signature mischief and charm — Amy Sherman-Palladino and Ryan Reynolds — in this bold, hilarious, and heartfelt new family film.”
