Christopher Meloni‘s time as Det. Elliot Stabler on Law & Order: Organized Crime has come to an end: Peacock has canceled the series after five seasons.

The most recent season explored the dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism and a crime family intent on repaying Stabler for the injury he did them in Rome. As his worlds collided, Stabler put everything on the line to protect the vulnerable and fight for justice.

Christopher originated the role of Stabler on Law & Order: SVU, which is still running on NBC.

Christopher has another gig lined up anyway: he’ll star in The Land on Hulu.

If you’re wondering, Law & Order and SVU are both awaiting decisions about their fate still. They were both renewed in May of 2025 for the 2025-2026 season, so expect a decision in the coming weeks for the 2026-2027 season.
