Landry Shamet is having an incredible year.
The 29-year-old New York Knicks shooting guard proposed to girlfriend Cameron Aimonetti while on a romantic getaway in Lake Como, Italy, and the two are now engaged.
Landry proposed while on a boat trip, as seen in pictures of the proposal shared on social media by the couple, including a glimpse at the engagement ring.
“Best day ever,” she captioned the post.
The two were photographed at the ESPYs in 2019, though it’s unclear when their romance first began.
The happy news comes just a few weeks after the Knicks won the NBA championship for the first time in 53 years last month.
Cameron celebrated Landry on her social media following the team’s victory, writing: “Nothing (I truly mean nothing) was going to stop you from getting here and seeing this through. The mental strength and discipline it took to reach this moment is hard to put into words…You’ve earned every bit of this. What a journey. World champion.”
“What a year. F–k… what a wild two years. Grateful for you all. Grateful for it all. We did it. Champ! For anyone that needs to hear it… just don’t give up,” he wrote on his own post.
