
Jennifer Lopez is sharing how she feels about breakups.
The 56-year-old actress and singer was on the Tuesday (June 30) episode of the internet talk show Subway Takes hosted by Kareem Rahma and shared her opinion on relationships ending.
“Breakups are not a failure. I honestly feel like it’s a launchpad into your next best self,” Jennifer said. “We should have a party when we break up. People should say, ‘You broke up? Congratulations.’ Because one, you made a decision. Two, it was probably the best thing for everybody.”
The Office Romance star also said people who get broken up with are the real “winners” and those who “go around” their lives “breaking hearts” are “the loser.”
Jennifer revealed many of her “biggest growth spurts” have come from heartbreak.
“I just feel like the biggest growth spurts I’ve had emotionally, mentally, psychologically have always come from a heartbreak. And that’s not just in romantic relationships, that’s in work heartbreaks, all of it. It’s the only time you dig. You’re like, ‘What the f–k happened? How do I do this? Why do I keep doing this? Or why didn’t that happen? What could I have done better?’ You change yourself,” she said.
Jennifer recently appeared to shade her ex-husband Marc Anthony, who she was married from 2004 to 2014.
