Daphne Fig and Ian Fig are expecting their first child!
The stars of HGTV’s renovation series Castle Impossible revealed during season two this summer that she is pregnant with their first child.
This week, the season finale debuted, and at the end, the high school sweethearts revealed whether they are expecting a boy or a girl!
At the end of the episode, Daphne and Ian were joined by her grandmother, Tony Raggett, who helps them with their renovations, and another family friend after showing off the finished dove tower.
They brought the group outside, and Daphne said they wanted to tell them whether the baby is a boy or a girl.
Ian then jumped on a walkie-talkie and said, “You guys ready?” He counted to three, and the chateau lit up in blue – They are having a boy!!
Daphne and Ian first met in high school and briefly dated. They then reconnected in 2015 and got married in 2020.
After her grandfather died in 2020, she inherited the 500-year-old French chateau outside of Paris, and the couple moved to France.
On Castle Impossible, the couple has been renovating various rooms in the chateau and on the grounds, including a house for her grandmother.
The renovations they have been taking on have been to not only bring the old building back to life, but to continue to make it better for guests who book a wedding or event at the chateau.
