The 2026 Canadian Screen Awards have been in full effect over the past couple days!
The annual awards show is put on by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and celebrates the best in film, television and digital of the past year.
Heated Rivalry was highly nominated this year in the television categories, include acting noms for stars Hudson Williams, François Arnaud, Sophie Nelisse and Nadina Bhabha. Unfortunately, Connor Storrie is not Canadian, so he was ineligible.
Ahead of the main show on Sunday (May 31), hosted by actor and comedian Andrew Phung, several of the awards have been handed out during ceremonies leading up to the main ceremony.
The Scripted Television Awards portion took place on Saturday evening (May 30), and Heated Rivalry picked up every award they were nominated for!
There are still several categories that will announce winners during Sunday’s ceremony, where Hudson Williams has been confirmed to attend, including Best Lead Performer, Drama Series (Hudson and François are both nominated), Best Drama Series (Heated Rivalry is nominated) and the fan-voted Cogeco Fund Audience Choice.

- Best Visual Effects – Simon Devault, Philippe Massonnat, Christophe Trepanier, Felix Arsenault for the episode “I’ll Believe In Anything”
- Best Original Music, Drama – Peter Peter for the episode “Rookies”
- Best Original Music – Original Song – Peter Peter for “It’s You” from the episode “Olympians”
- Best Supporting Performer, Drama – Sophie Nélisse
- Best Guest Performance, Drama Series – Nadine Bhabha for the episode, “Hunter”
- Best Achievement in Casting, Fiction – Jenny Lewis, Sara Kay for the episode, “I’ll Believe In Anything”
Just a month ago, Heated Rivalry also won a Peabody Award, and the show has also won several other awards!
