Meg Stalter is taking her music career to the next level.
The 35-year-old Hacks actress and comedian-turned-“Prettiest Girl in America” pop superstar just debuted “Gay” on Tuesday (June 2) just in time for Pride Month, marking the second release from her forthcoming studio album Crave, due out later this summer.
The new song is described in a release as “a track that’s anthemic, poppy and a little chaotic, balancing sharp humor with real musicality.”
Crave is referred to as a “a project that explores identity, desire, and self-perception through a distinctly offbeat lens.”
“Drawing inspiration from early 2000s pop, the album leans into contradiction, being both playful and biting, while also polished and chaotic, positioning Stalter as an unexpected new voice in music. If Crave has a thesis, it’s this: pop music should feel as good as it is a little unhinged.”
Meg‘s debut single and its follow up remix featuring Vanillamace have racked up nearly a million streams in a month, and over 4 million TikTok videos using the sound.
She’ll be performing at the 2026 WeHo Pride Street Fair in June, as well as New York’s All Things Go Festival in September.
Meg wrote all songs on Crave alongside Jesse Thomas, with production by herself, Jesse, and Matias Mora.
