Dylan Dreyer is providing a glimpse into her summer vacation before she returning to Today.
The 45-year-old meteorologist and anchor, who just celebrated her birthday on August 2, shared photos and videos from her getaway before returning to the morning news show again on Monday (August 3), filling in for Al Roker and Carson Daly and appearing in her third hour hosting role.
“This week every year, we go down to Turks and Caicos. So, I was down there celebrating. I spent the day on the plane, flying back. It was so great. The weather is always amazing. It’s just a big family vacation we go on every year,” she explained on Today via TV Insider.
Craig Melvin and Savannah Sellers surprised her with gifts on the show, including waffles, ice cream and custom golf balls featuring Craig and Al‘s faces on them.
“When you look down at that ball, we want to motivate you. You’re gonna hit it extra hard now, aren’t you? She’ll never miss,” Craig amusingly noted.
If you didn’t know, Dylan took a week off from the show to go on vacation.
“Hate to leave paradise on my birthday but it’s time to get back to reality. Another year, another amazing annual family vacation! I’m so blessed to share wonderful memories with some of my favorite people!,” she captioned the post showing off her trip.
The cute photos included glimpses of meals, as well as beach and pool time alongside family including her sons: Calvin, Oliver, and Rusty.
She also showed off her toned physique in swimsuits, as fans happily commented and wished her well before her return to the long-running morning news program.
Dylan shares her kids with estranged husband Brian Fichera. The two separated last year after 12 years of marriage, and she filed for divorce in March.
“For many years I have shared my family with you all — the highs and lows. The ups and downs. And all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between. I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you’ve given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate,” Dylan said in her statement on Instagram.
