Zaire Wade, the eldest son of Dwyane Wade, has been arrested.
Zaire, 24, was arrested on Sunday (June 21) on suspicion of domestic violence in Burbank, Calif., law enforcement told NBC4.
Police were called to a home in Burbank at about 5:30 am on Sunday after receiving a call about a woman screaming. When they arrived, they found Zaire and a woman, who had “lacerations on her face and body.”
After talking to both parties, Zaire was arrested and booked on three charges: felony domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment, according to TMZ. A handgun was also taken from the house after the arrest, authorities said.
Paramedics also responded to the scene to the check on the woman. Despite her alleged injuries, she was reportedly not transported to the hospital.
Police also issued an emergency protective order.
Zaire posted a $50,000 bond and was released later that day. The case will be forwarded to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office for possible charges.
Dwyane shares Zaire and 19-year-old daughter Zaya with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. He also shares son Xavier, 12, with Aja Metoyer and daughter Kaavia, 7, with wife Gabrielle Union. In 2011, Dwyane was award full custody of his now-24-year-old nephew Dahveon Morris.
