We have set photos from the Peaky Blinders spinoff series starring Charlie Heaton!
Charlie is set to star as Charles Shelby, alongside Jamie Bell, in the series, which is set “a decade after World War Two, the race to rebuild Birmingham becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and jeopardy.” Charles Shelby is the son of Cillian Murphy‘s Tommy Shelby.
The new set photos, snapped on Tuesday (June 2) in Birmingham, England, show Charlie springing into action to save a woman, played by Lucy Karczewski.
What is the Peaky Blinders prequel about?
Here’s a synopsis: Having fought a violent war, much of it behind enemy lines, Charles Shelby is now embracing normality. He hasn’t seen his half-brother Duke (Bell) – in years. Charles severed all ties to the Peaky Blinders gang, and the hedonistic Shelby lifestyle. But can you ever escape your own blood?

The forthcoming series will consist of six, 60-minute episodes, which will premiere on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the UK and on Netflix in the rest of the world. Filming is currently underway in and around Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham.
A second series is also in the works, with OG Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy serving as an executive producer on both.
