Jack “Rome” Seymour was the second houseguest eliminated from Big Brother season 28 last week, and Just Jared had the chance to sit down with him and chat about his game.

We asked Rome a little about his showmance with Lyric and if he’s spoken with her family or friends at all since his eviction.

We also asked him if he happened to see the tea party drama on the live feeds last night. Jason and Kamu went head-to-head and there was not much interjection from other house guests as they aired out their issues. It looks like Kamu confirmed that Jason will be the renom during the veto ceremony, which will air on Wednesday.

Rome reacted to all of what went down yesterday, and more during out exclusive chat.

Just Jared: Have you spoken to anyone from Lyric’s life since leaving the house?

Rome Seymour: You know, actually two days ago, I had a FaceTime call for about an hour and a half with her mom and dad, you know, just updating them how she’s doing, how she’s feeling in that house, how she misses them and things of that nature. I also apologized about 115 times for what they had to watch on TV, but they are really just some of the sweetest, kindest people I’ve met. And I can see where Lyric got her amazing personality from.

Just Jared: Do you think that line of communication will and you’ll continue kind of checking in with them as Lyric moves forward.

Rome: Yeah, absolutely. I’ve sent her mom like a couple of TikTok videos of things Lyric’s doing on the live feeds and stuff. We are very open about talking, how she doing, texting about it. All that stuff. They are really, really just an amazing family all together.

Just Jared: Have you seen any of the footage from last night’s live feeds with the tea party? What do you make of what happened and are you surprised that no one really kind of stuck their neck out for Jason?

Rome: I watched that whole tea party event unfold and it felt eerily similar to exactly what happened to me on nomination night with with Devens, where one person is getting completely pinned down by half a house and their game is getting aired out and they’re saying these things to the people they trust but the one thing i know is that Jason handled himself so well in the situation he was put in. He stayed 10 toes down on what he believed in and how his game is being played. The one thing that upset me the most is when everyone got up and walked away, he sat there by himself. And I can promise you, if I was in that house, my boy Jason would be in my arms. I’m hugging him. I’m making sure he knows you’re playing a good game. You’re an awesome person. You belong here and you an awesome player. That’s why they coming after you.

Just Jared: Do you think he will be the next eliminated contestant?

Rome: Here’s the thing. He’s so much slicker with his words than I was. My campaigning was pretty poor if I look back on it. Like, I put the men and the women in two groups and gave them some motivational speech that really didn’t go anywhere in most people’s eyes. You know, watching it back now, I’m like, oh, I could have persuaded more people if I just talked to them one on one. So I think Jason has a really good way of talking with people one on one and having him see the logic behind what his game plan is. So I don’t know. I think he could I think he could wiggle himself out of this situation.

JJ: Or the BB Block Buster, too

Rome: You know what, he smoked me in that blockbuster. That puzzle was really confusing to me in my head but he is so good at these competitions that I understand why they had to backdoor him and couldn’t give him a veto chance because you give Jason two chances at a competition right now and he feels confident.

JJ: Now that you back in the real world with your phone and access to the internet, have you seen anything from the live feeds from the time you were inside the house that surprised you?

Rome: You know, not necessarily the one thing that’s kind of stuck out the most is how well Drew Campbell is playing. He’s playing so well. He’s in this kind of interesting position where he has this strong alliance with the Tool Shed, but he’s on the bottom of it. And then he’s got the other people that are kind of like sitting there in shambles as Jason’s getting his game aired out, that eventually he could kind of swoop in and be the guiding force of that side to turn on those icons and red corner or whatever they are. Like I think [he] is in such an interesting position. And I think he’s going to do really well coming into this game or furthering his game.

JJ: Yeah, Angela’s a little paranoid about him.

Rome: Well, you know what happens when that happens.
