The 2026 Emmy Awards nominations are here, and music superstars Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift are both among the nominees!!
Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift were both nominated for Outstanding Variety Special – the former for the live category for his Super Bowl Halftime Show, and the latter for the pre-recorded category for The Eras Tour | The Final Show.
This marks a first-time nomination for Benito. He is nominated as a producer for the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny, which is actually nominated for a total of nine awards, making history as the most-nominated Super Bowl halftime show in Emmy history!
The halftime show is also up for Production Design for a Variety Special, Choreography for Variety or Reality Programming, Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Special, Directing for a Variety Special, Hairstyling for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program, and Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Special.
This is Taylor‘s second Emmy nomination. She is listed as a nominee as “Produced by/Performer” for the Eras Tour concert film, which received a few more noms.
The Eras Tour | The Final Show is also nominated for Picture Editing for Variety Programming, Directing for a Variety Special, Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Special, and Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special.
Taylor previously won the 2015 Emmy Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media – Original Interactive Program for AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience.
Another music star who also got nominated for an Emmy is Sabrina Carpenter!
The actress and singer is also up for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) for The Muppet Show, where she’s listed as “Executive Producer/Performer.” Seth Rogen is also nominated for the program as an executive producer. This is Sabrina‘s first-ever Emmy Awards nomination!
The Muppet Show is also nominated in the following categories: Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special, Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for Matt Vogel as Kermit the Frog, Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special, and Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming.
