Anna Faris is finding out with the rest of us that another star almost played the iconic role of Cindy in Scary Movie.
The 49-year-old actress appeared in an interview alongside the Wayans Brothers, Shawn Wayans and Marlon Wayans, for Entertainment Weekly, where she was told that another star almost got the part.
“Was there ever a celebrity who desperately wanted to be in a Scary Movie, but you had to hit him with a hard no?” Anna asked.
“Melissa Joan Hart. She was supposed to play Anna‘s part,” Marlon revealed.
“I didn’t know this. She’s good!” Anna remarked.
No, Keenan was like, I saw this young lady, Anna Faris, and I really feel like that’s our Cindy,” he continued, as she said “no” in disbelief over and over.
“So you took Melissa Joan Hart‘s job,” he said. “Good job, Anna. Nice job! Way to go. Taking food out of another white lady’s mouth.”
“I didn’t. I’m not trying to take food out of anybody’s mouth!” she exclaimed. Watch the reveal above.
