Tom Cruise treated some lucky AMC employees to a private showing of The Odyssey in IMAX!
The movie star was supposed to arrive on Wednesday night for a screening of the film, but he was unable to make it to New York City’s AMC Lincoln Square in time due to a thunderstorm delaying his trip, Entertainment Weekly confirms. The Mission Impossible star didn’t make it to Manhattan until 10:45 p.m. that night, after the movie had finished.

He instead decided to surprise the employees with a surprise screening of Christopher Nolan‘s latest film, including all of the people working in the concessions area and doing cleaning around the cinema.
Tom later posted about the experience to his Instagram, writing, ““Wow! To Chris, Emma, and ALL of your brilliant cast and crew. Thank you for an amazing night in a movie theater. I can’t wait to see it again!”
Later this year, Tom will star in a highly-anticipated and rather mysterious Alejandro González Iñárritu-directed film called Digger. The 64-year-old actor underwent an extensive transformation for the role and looks almost unrecognizable. The first official trailer for Digger has finally been released!
