Whitney Leavitt is breaking her silence on Nick Viall and wife Natalie Joy‘s recent comments about her.
After it was announced that Whitney, 32, would be joining Chicago on Broadway, Nick, 45, and Natalie, 27, went on their Viall Files podcast and questioned how she could take another job when she has three young kids.
Following their comments, many accused Nick and Natalie of mom-shaming Whitney.
In a new interview with The Cut published on Thursday (February 19), Whitney reacted to what they said about her.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star went on to explain why she didn’t speak out when Nick and Natalie‘s comments first made headlines.
“I didn’t wanna respond because sometimes no response is the best response. But that perspective to me is crazy,” Whitney explained. “I would want my mom, my daughter, any woman, to go fulfill her dreams. It seems like such an obvious thing to me. I don’t need to state the obvious. And honestly, the internet did it for them.”
In the December 3 episode of The Viall Files, Natalie reacted to Whitney signing on for the Broadway stint after competing on Dancing with the Stars.
“I am curious because, obviously, we had Taylor Frankie Paul being The Bachelorette, and she received a lot of criticism for leaving her children and prioritizing her and her career and finding love. I am curious how Whitney is managing both,” said Natalie, who shares 2-year-old daughter River with Nick.
“She just did Dancing With the Stars for three or four months. She has kids on a school level — maybe they are homeschooled,” Natalie continued. “I don’t know. To shift to Chicago in New York, that takes so much of her time. How is she managing being a mom?”
Nick, however, pointed out that Whitney‘s husband Conner Leavitt is a “very hands-on” dad to their three kids – Sedona, 6, Liam, 4, and Billy, 15 months.
Natalie, who is currently pregnant with twins, related it back to her and Nick‘s situation with their daughter, saying, “Obviously, we are very busy and are constantly on the go. But we realize that once she is in school, our life has to drastically slow down.”
In another recent interview, Whitney shares her thoughts on if politics should factor into her life as a public figure.
