Fans were buzzing about Lady Gaga’s involvement in the series ever since her 2011 track “Bloody Mary” went viral during a pivotal Season 1 dance scene. Netflix later confirmed in November 2024 that she would officially be joining the cast in a secretive role.
However, with the season being split into two parts, Gaga doesn’t appear in the first four episodes, which dropped on August 6.
Her absence at the premiere and press events had already hinted she wouldn’t be part of Part 1.
Reports suggest Gaga will also debut a brand new song during her upcoming guest arc. Director Tim Burton teased her role, telling Variety, “She’s such an artist and so for me, working with an artist is inspirational.”
At Netflix’s Tudum event in May 2025, it was revealed that Gaga will portray Rosaline Rotwood, “a mysterious and enigmatic Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.”
The description left fans speculating that Rosaline may not even be alive, and could appear as a spirit guiding Wednesday through the chaos of her sophomore year.
Whether spectral or not, fans are hoping her arrival will come with a memorable musical moment.
Wednesday season 2 Part 1 is streaming now, with Part 2 to follow later this year. Find out more about her rumored new song!
