The kiss in question takes place in mid-air with Superman/Clark Kent smooching Lois Lane, played by Rachel Brosnahan. It happens at the end of the movie, with Clark and Lois confessing their love for one another.

James wanted it to be a “solemn” moment, while David argued for keeping in his little chuckle and grin, making for a more charming and lighthearted scene overall. He even said it was his “favorite moment of chemistry.”

“I was like, ‘No! The whole point is, ‘I f–king know that you love me,’” David said he told the director. Eventually, James gave in and agreed to the star’s version.

“Credit to James. He was right on 90% of everything, but on that one, he saw that chuckle was a very truthful thing,” he shared.

Another part of David and Jonathan‘s Actors on Actors interview is going viral.
