Robert Duvall’s Final Social Media Posts Feature a ‘Secondhand Lions’ Anecdote & a Video Just Before His 95th Birthday | Robert Duvall | Celebrity News and Gossip | Entertainment, Photos and Videos

Robert Duvall sadly passed away on Sunday (February 15) at the age of 95, and his final social media posts have been making the rounds online.

The legendary actor, known for The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, posted occasional updates to his Facebook page.

His last post came less than 2 weeks ago on February 3, where he posted a still from his 2003 movie Secondhand Lions.

He actually revealed he could have died on set.

He shared, “One day while filming Secondhand Lions, the lion got out. Had he turned in my direction, I wouldn’t be here today! I absolutely enjoyed working on this film with director Tim McCanlies and actors Haley Joel Osment and Michael Caine.”

His final video message came on December 5, 2025, where he showed himself working out just a few weeks before his 95th birthday on January 5.

“I enjoy having a routine. Though I never went to the gym to get in shape for films. I preferred tennis, swimming, or horseback riding to keep me in shape,” he shared.
