Rebel Wilson’s PR Team Accused of Smear Campaign Against Movie Producer, Leaked Audio Reveals Alleged Plans | Amanda Ghost, Rebel Wilson | Celebrity News and Gossip | Entertainment, Photos and Videos

Rebel Wilson allegedly used a crisis PR team to plot a smear campaign against the producer of her movie The Deb, according to a new The Hollywood Reporter article.

Back in summer 2024, Rebel first called out the producers for inappropriate behavior and embezzlement, and said they were burying the movie and holding it from being released.

The producers then filed a defamation lawsuit, as did the star of the movie, Charlotte MacInnes, who was reportedly at the center of the inappropriate behavior.

Rebel spoke out publicly in November 2025 about all of the allegations involved in the lawsuits.

Now, a leaked audio seems to show that Rebel‘s PR team was planning an alleged smear campaign against Amanda Ghost, the producer of the movie.

Rebel worked with digital fixer Jed Wallace and entertainment publicist Melissa Nathan, who also were part of Justin Baldoni‘s crisis PR team during the It Ends With Us scandal.

In a leaked audio, Jed says, “We need to create a path where we expose Amanda Ghost as the new Heidi Fleiss. Like, the reason she sucks so bad at music, is because she’s actually getting hookers for Blavatnik. And that’s what she does. She’s an absolutely madam and that’s why she’s so lethal. We can’t just do, like, oh, she’s a bitch, she sucks. It’s, like, it’s got to be really, really heavy and connected to something that heavy.”

Ghost is the CEO of billionaire Len Blavatnik‘s company AI Film.

A lawyer for Ghost told THR, “Rebel Wilson has repeatedly denied any involvement in the creation of the smear websites — not just on television but in her sworn legal testimony. We, however, had long suspected that she not only contributed to the malicious sites but that she was the driving force behind them. The evidence we have submitted to the court in California supports that conclusion.”

Rebel had a setback in the legal drama back in January.
