Maya Hawke and KJ Apa are starring in a new project together!
The Stranger Things and Riverdale stars will lend their voices to the Audible Original rom-com The Summer Oath, described as a modern twist on Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost.
According to Variety, the series is created by Claire Friedman, best known for working on Desus & Mero and Saturday Night Live.

The cast also features Supergirl‘s Milly Alcock, SNL alum Ego Nwodim, Alexandra Shipp (Barbie), Gavin Casalegno (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and Peri Gilpin.
Maya is playing a romance novelist struggling with writer’s block after a breakup. Then she and her two best friends head to the Hamptons for a summer trip when her college flame (played by KJ) shows up and “things get complicated.”
The Do Revenge star shared the following statement: “The Summer Oath was so fun and delicious to work on. Wise and silly and heartwarming and playful.”
KJ said, “The Summer Oath puts a clever spin on classic rom-com tropes. Working alongside this talented cast to bring these characters to life purely through audio has been a unique and rewarding challenge.”
The romantic comedy will premiere exclusively on Audible on April 30.
