Marlon Wayans is reprising the role of Shorty for the next installment in the Scary Movie franchise!
The 53-year-old actor and comedian is teasing the physical transformation he’s undergone for the movie and what movies they’re planning to parody in the newest movie.

Marlon recently hit the gym to gain the muscle necessary to play a football star in Him, but he said he’s shedding all that weight for Scary Movie 6. While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Marlon revealed that he’s lost 20 lbs in order to get ready to play the role of Shorty again.
“I just lost 20 lbs busting my behind every day ’cause I didn’t wanna show up to set as Shorty buff at 225. That’d be lazy of me. I wanna do the work, I wanna look like Shorty,” Marlon told the publication.
Marlon also teased what to expect from the movie, saying that there’s no one off limits in this upcoming “no holds barred” comedy.
“We just want to make everybody laugh, and we don’t care if you’re sensitive. Even sensitive people need to laugh at themselves,” Marlon told EW.
When speaking to ComicBook.com, Marlon talked about recent horror movies that they’ll be pulling from for the newest installment in the satirical franchise.
“I Know What You Did Last Summer may have something in there. I think the Scream franchise is always a great one. I think Heretic was a wonderful film. Longlegs. Get Out. Nope. There are just so many great horror films to pull from that we plan on having a field day. Sinners,” Marlon revealed.
