Lamar Odom has entered a rehabilitation facility following his recent arrest.
Early Saturday morning (January 17), the 46-year-old former Los Angeles Lakers player was arrested and booked for driving under the influence in Las Vegas.
Now nearly two weeks later, Lamar‘s manager confirmed on Wednesday (January 28) that the retired pro basketball player “made the personal decision” to enter a 30-day treatment program at the iRely Recovery facility in Los Angeles to “reset and focus on his health.”
Keep reading to find out more…“After a recent incident, he took a step back to reflect and address triggers he’s been dealing with,” Lamar‘s manager told Us Weekly. “He’s taking full responsibility and choosing to be proactive about his wellbeing.”
“Lamar is grateful for the support and is committed to moving forward in a healthy, positive way,” his manager added.
Along with the DUI charge, Lamar also received two traffic violations – driving more than 41+ miles per hour over the limit and improper lane change/failure to maintain lane.
Over the years, Lamar has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction. He was previously arrested for DUI in 2013 and in 2015, he nearly died of a drug overdose when he was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel with cocaine and opiates in his system in October 2015.
His ex-wife Khloe Kardashian nursed him back to health after overdose, but they had a falling out in 2016 when she learned that he was using drugs again. When they sat down for a conversation, which was filmed for The Kardashians, last year, Khloe, 41, looked back at punching Lamar in the face when she learned he was using again.
Khloe also discussed the downfall of their marriage.
