Kristen Bell will be heard as the voice of Mary Magdalene in a new podcast launching on Fox News Media’s Fox Faith vertical, but she had no clue the project was being produced.

Kristen learned about the new podcast just one day before it was announced, her rep told Rolling Stone. She also “never gave permission for the old audiobook to be repurposed into a new podcast series.”

The Truth and Life Dramatized Audio Bible was released in 2010 and also features the voices of actors like Brian Cox and Sean Astin.

Cox‘s rep told Deadline that he “had no knowledge his voice” would be used for the Fox News Audio podcast.

A spokesperson for Fox News said that “Gulfstream Studios produced the Life of Jesus Podcast from The Truth and Life Dramatized Audio Bible, which was licensed by Fox News Audio, with full cooperation and participation by all the actors involved.”

The Life of Jesus Podcast, which will have 52 episodes, is debuting on November 30.

In other news, Kristen reportedly just signed a big deal for an upcoming sequel.
