KPop Demon Hunters trio EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami are expressing their excitement over their hit song “Golden” receiving a bunch of nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards!

The nominations were announced on Friday (November 7) and the trio told People over Zoom that they “all screamed” in excitement when they heard the news.

For those unaware, EJAE, Audrey, and Rei provide the singing voices for main characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, respectively (Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo do their regular voices).

KPop Demon Hunters has become a global sensation since it’s June release on Netflix. And now the movie has picked up five Grammy noms, including “Golden” for Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Written Song for Visual Media, Best Remixed Recording (David Guetta Remix of “Golden”), and Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for the overall movie.

“I got chills in my body,” EJAE said to the outlet, while Rei admitted she “blacked out.”

EJAE, who also co-wrote “Golden,” said, “I’m just so proud to be Korean because growing up in America, too, I felt ashamed being Korean at one point. I felt ostracized, and so I’m just happy to be a part of this incredible cultural phenomenon to be able to show off our country.”

Audrey then added something similar, “A Grammy nomination means so much to anyone who’s in music and anyone who creates for a living. It’s very a culminating moment. And I think that we’re just not only thinking about this film, but our lives, the cultural context and the history, and our parents, and the struggles.”

“It’s the honor of a lifetime to stand alongside both [EJAE and Rei Ami] and for us all to do it together. The sorority of it is really beautiful,” she concluded.

As for what they’re most looking forward to? Rei says it best: “Winning! That would be really cool.”

The 2026 Grammys will take place on February 1, 2026.
