Fans have assumed that Riverdale actor KJ Apa and viral music star Mr Fantasy are the same person, but they were just spotted together. So, what’s happening?!
Mr Fantasy started going viral on social media last year and then made an appearance in the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, leading to even more widespread rumors about his identity.
KJ and Mr. Fantasy both have the exact same tattoos and their faces are practically identical. It appears that KJ has been wearing a wig and fake teeth for the alter-ego.
Just recently, KJ called out Mr Fantasy following the release of his “Do Me Right” music video, which features cameos from many of the actor’s friends.
“Enough is enough. I won’t sit back any longer and watch someone attempt to ruin my life and everything I have worked for,” KJ said.

TikTok user @angelaryan03 shared a video that appears to show the two stars having dinner together at the restaurant Great White in West Hollywood, California. DeuxMoi also shared a photo of the sighting.

Fans think that someone else is dressed up as Mr Fantasy to create this viral moment.
