Kelly Clarkson has returned to work on her upcoming season of The Voice following the death of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
The American Idol winner is set to be a coach on the upcoming 29th season of The Voice, which will air in Spring 2026. Despite it airing next year, the season is already filming the audition, battles, and knockout rounds right now.
It’s being reported that Kelly will return to set to continue filming the season, but a former coach stepped in to fill in for one taping.

Jennifer Hudson briefly replaced Kelly at a taping to mentor her team during rehearsals for the battle rounds.
Season 29 will be filming their Battles Round on August 21 and August 22, as well as the Knockouts Round on September 5 and September 6, according to TV tickets website 1iota.
Kelly will presumably be at all of the upcoming tapings, according to Deadline.
Kelly will be seen for the next month on NBC in her Song & Stories special, which was filmed earlier this year.
