Hailey Bieber is opening up about her health.
Over the years, the 29-year-old model and Rhode boss has had some health woes, including a mini-stroke in 2022 and undergoing a heart surgery not long after that.
While appearing on the new episode of Jake Shane‘s Therapuss podcast released on Wednesday (February 18), Hailey shared how her past issues have changed her perspective on her overall well-being.
Keep reading to find out more…“That situation made me a little bit extra hyper-aware of my body and a little bit more nervous about things and staying on top of them,” Hailey said. “But I’ve just always been really focused and fascinated on health.”
“I just am so fascinated with the body and medicine and doctor,” she continued. “And I love it… It was also kind of what led me to want to Rhode. My obsession with skin care also comes from my obsession with medicine.”
Shortly after suffering the mini-stroke, Hailey said that she learned that she was born with a heart defect and had to have surgery for it.
“Then I found that I had this heart defect that I was born with, so I had to get surgery for it, which sounds really crazy,” she recalled. “But they went through my groin and I was in and out of the hospital the same day.”
Also in the new interview, Hailey shared an update on 16-month-old son Jack, and revealed the word he’s obsessed with saying.
