Grey’s Anatomy has released the first photos for season 22′s premiere, and it seems to give some clues about which characters made it out of the explosion…while still leaving some questions up in the air about who might have died.
If you don’t know, there was an explosion at the end of the season 21 finale, leaving the survival of many of the doctors in unknown territory.
Specifically, fans are especially worried about Link (Chris Carmack), as well as many of the other doctors!
The episode is titled “Only the Strong Survive,” and will debut in two weeks on October 9.

The photos feature Ellen Pompeo, Anthony Hill, Trevor Jackson, Alexis Floyd, Kevin McKidd, Kim Raver, Harry Shum Jr, and Caterina Scorsone. This seemingly confirms that Benson Kwan (Shum Jr.), Owen Hunt (McKidd) and Teddy Altman (Raver) are SEEMINGLY alive…unless these photos appear as a flashback.
Based on these episode stills, we still do not know the status of Miranda Bailey, Richard Webber, Catherine Fox, Atticus “Link” Lincoln, Jules Millin, and Monica Beltran.
A huge concern among fans is…why would they do this to Link and Jo after their wedding!? The showrunner did speak out about this.
