The Goo Goo Dolls are canceling their remaining tour dates.
The “Iris” superstar band confirmed that they’ll be scrapping the remainder of their tour in Canada amid a serious illness.

The band provided an update on social media on Sunday (April 5).
Lead singer John Rzeznik was recently diagnosed with pneumonia.
“Unfortunately, we must cancel the remaining dates on our Canadian Tour. John was diagnosed with pneumonia and has not fully recovered. We are very disappointed and can’t wait to get back to Canada as soon as possible,” they wrote, adding that tickets are available for refund at the point of purchase.
Prior to the announcement, they already called off three dates in Canada, but did perform on Saturday (April 4) in London, Ontario.
Fans filled the comments with well-wishes for John and the band, including celebrity voice coach Eric Vetro.

I know how difficult it was for you to cancel these shows but health comes first and it would have been dangerous for you to continue to try to push through with pneumonia! I can’t believe you were able to actually make it through last night – I was really concerned and even nervous that you were going to pass out at some point and hurt yourself! Get some rest, my friend, you need it and you deserve it!” he wrote.
Those canceled performances include Monday (April 6) in Ottawa, April 8 in Quebec, April 10 in Halifax, and April 11 in Moncton.
Their next performance outside of Canada is scheduled for April 18 in Georgetown, Texas, as they embark on U.S. tour dates. We are wishing the best to John Rzeznik in his recovery!
