“I’m closing in on you (You, you, you, you, you) / I wanna be your girlfriend / Love everything you do (Do, do, do, do, do) / I wanna be your girlfriend,” she sings on the chorus.
“My inspiration was a lot of EDM, as well as rap,” Amanda told People in a statement.
Amanda recently signed with the Create Music Group label, who has worked with the likes of Jason Derulo, Keri Hilson and Deadmau5.
In a statement shared with E! News, the label noted the track “blends melodic rap with EDM-inspired production, creating a catchy, high-replay record with a smooth West Coast bounce.”
“Built around a strong hook and confident, flirt-heavy energy,” they continued, saying “it’s designed for repeat listens and wide playlist appeal.”
