Francois Arnaud and Hudson Williams are explaining the intent behind their joint statement after facing some criticism from social media users.

The Heated Rivalry co-stars posted the same message to their Instagram Stories, slamming all of the so-called “fans” that have been sending hateful messages to them.

“Don’t call yourself a fan if you share racist/homophobic/biphobic/misogynistic/ageist/ableist/parasocial/bigoted comments of any kind. None of us need your hateful ‘love,’” they said. “We all respect and support and love each other and are on the same side. If you can’t accept that [get the f–k out of here].”

One fan called out Francois, claiming he copied Hudson‘s note without crediting him.

The person commented, “Should probably credit Hudson for his note message defending himself against the hate vs copying and pasting it to your own post acting like you drafted it.”

Francois replied, “I did draft this message and Hudson and I tweaked it together and wanted to make a joint statement. We thank you for your concern.”

Hudson responded on Threads to someone who claimed that the actor is enduring sever racial abuse without proper support from his white co-stars.

The actor replied, “It was Francois’ idea and I helped write it! I don’t scroll comments so I did not see the hate. I was vibing watching figure skating highlights.”
