There are new details surrounding Dylan Walsh‘s car accident, during which his family slammed into two utility poles.
The 61-year-old Nip/Tuck actor said his family was coming back from a tavern, and he admitted he had been drinking while speaking to police following the incident on August 17 in Rumson, New Jersey.
The police report, which was obtained by People, said there were “multiple empty and open White Claw Hard Seltzer cans” in an open cooler bag.
The actor looked “very red and looked very confused,” and was cited for six violations while also agreeing to giving a blood sample.
Those citations included open container of alcohol, reckless driving, expired registration, failure to keep right, unsafe lane change/failure to maintain lane and driving on a sidewalk.
Witnesses told officers they heard his wife, Leslie Bourque-Walsh, allegedly yell “get the bag out of the backseat” multiple times before cops got there.
The car reportedly swerved to avoid oncoming traffic before hitting two utility poles. Eight residents lost power as a result, until it was later restored and Jersey Central Power & Light replaced the utility poles, according to local reports from Patch.
