Looks like Danica Patrick won’t be returning for Formula 1 commentary this season!
The 43-year-old former NASCAR driver has been part of the Sky Sports F1 broadcast team for the past five years, joining in 2021, but was left out of their broadcast team announcement for 2026.

Sky Sports revealed their team of 2026 analysts, experts, presenters and reporters for the upcoming season, which kicks off THIS weekend in Melbourne, Australia, and Danica was notably left off of the list.
This year’s lineup will continue to feature former F1 racer Martin Brundle, Formula 1 driver’s champions Jensen Button, Jacques Villeneuve and Nico Rosberg, Naomi Schiff, David Croft and more.
Danica‘s presence as part of the Sky Sports F1 broadcast team has become quite divisive over the years, with many fans not liking her commentary and calling for her firing. She’s also become controversial for her pro Trump stance.
For those unaware, Sky Sports is the primary home of Formula 1 coverage in the UK and Ireland.
The 2026 Formula 1 season officially kicks off Friday (March 6) with the first practice session of the year, with the first race taking place on Sunday (March 8) at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, Australia.
