The 26-year-old Heated Rivalry star opened his monologue by talking about his rise to fame, his childhood and was even joined by four of the gold medal-winning Team USA hockey players, including Jack and Quinn Hughes from the men’s team, as well as Hilary Knight and Megan Keller from the women’s team.

Connor noted that SNL let him show a clip from Heated Rivalry, but there was only one family friendly clip they could show, which was just his character Ilya Rozanov saying “okay” in the first scene of the hit series.

He also noted that when he got the call to host Saturday Night Live, he “honestly cried.”

Connor was then joined by Quinn and Jack Hughes after he mentioned learning hockey for HR and watching the Olympics.

After their bit, Connor mentioned how he hoped at least some real hockey players watched his show, and women’s hockey stars Hilary Knight and Megan Keller joined them, to much bigger applause and cheers from the audience

They even referenced Trump’s controversial White House invite, saying, “It was gonna be just us, but we thought we’d invite the guys too.”
