Kristin revealed during the Oprah conversation that she “ended communication” with her former boss mid-fall of last year.
“There was a big miss on honesty and integrity. He wasn’t the person he represented himself to be, to me…and lying is a non-negotiable for me.”
When asked if Kristin meant that he was possibly lying about being separated from his wife, she said: “He missed the mark on being as honest as he could have been with me…I wanna be really careful, because the world spoke for me and on my behalf, and I don’t wanna do that to somebody else and their family. I don’t feel comfortable.”
“A lot of what was represented to me was not true,” she simply offered, saying she “unequivocally” thought he was in the process of separation as well, and she had “zero doubt” he was separated.
Kristin claimed that the concert was the first time they had any intimate physical contact.
“I was left holding the bag…being the one that was attacked for this, he’s [Byron] remained silent, to me, that’s not a quality that I would look for in a friend or a partner or a boss. So we have no relationship now,” she went on to say, as the former CEO has not spoken out about the incident since.
“I mean the entire trajectory of this would have changed if he would have just made a quick statement to say ‘my wife and I were separated at the time of the concert.’ Just like my husband did,” Kristin said, noting that she was still branded a “homewrecker.”
“I think he has the luxury of staying silent, and he can go back to work when he’s ready. I don’t. I feel — I have to remind myself I’m not on trial, but I have to in order for me to get back on my feet, I have to come out and explain. And I think that’s a stark difference between the man and the woman in this situation. I have to explain and explain and justify.”
“I can’t stay silent and accept what has happened. And I do feel like it’s important that people understand the real story and also how harmful it is to just make assumptions and judge and and feed and fuel something that created this narrative,” she added. Watch above.
If you didn’t know, Gwyneth Paltrow also poked fun at the situation, which Kristin has since slammed.
