Carole Radziwill is sharing her thoughts on Ryan Murphy‘s upcoming American Love Story.
The 61-year-old form Real Housewives of New York City star was a guest on the We Met at Acme podcast recently. In a preview shared for her upcoming episode, Carole recalls how she found out about the series being put into production.
Carole was previously married to Anthony Radziwill, cousin to JFK Jr. who the series is focused on. According to Carole, it was her connection to her late husband that lead to her learning about the show’s creation.

“A friend of mine called me, like, maybe six months ago and said that he had an audition to play Anthony,” Carole said during the podcast preview. According to Carole, she had gone on “a bunch of dates” with the friend who had called her to let her know he was auditioning to play her late husband in the series.
Carole says she had no idea that a series about JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette was in production prior to receiving that call.
“I was so dumbfounded. I remember I was driving … my 1998 little red Jeep around town … so I had to pull over. Even now, I’m like … I panic about it,” Carole recalled.
Carole also left a comment on the Instagram post, calling the news of the show “painful” even so long after her husband’s 1999 death.
Carole‘s full We Met at Acme podcast episode will be released on Sunday (August 10).
