Anthony Ippolito is set to play another movie icon!
The 26-year-old previously played Al Pacino in the series The Offer, and now he’s going to take on Sylvester Stallone in an upcoming movie, according to THR.
Anthony will portray a younger Sly in I Play Rocky, a movie about the making of the hit classic movie Rocky.

The upcoming drama is “the true Hollywood story about an unknown actor with an unshakable belief that he wasn’t just meant to write Rocky—he was meant to be Rocky Balboa. Told ‘no’ at every turn, Stallone bets everything on himself, holding the line on playing the lead against seemingly impossible odds. The result is the ultimate underdog story behind the ultimate underdog movie.”
THR reports that Anthony is said to have really pursued the part, much like Sylvester did with Rocky.
Peter Ferrelly, who is most known for helming several comedies, is set to direct I Play Rocky, with a script by Peter Gamble.
Anthony Ippolito has also been featured in such movies like Purple Hearts, Pixels and The English Teacher, as well as shows What Would You Do? and Grand Army.
